Our designs are inspired by the desire to bring beauty to everyday objects. Our design team bring their experience and passion to the table every time they create something new, with the goal of producing design-driven lighting that bucks the trends, draws on heritage lines, and truly brightens people’s day.

Make it personal

Your home is unique, and your lighting choices should reflect that. We wanted our customers to have a totally bespoke experience, so almost every element of our lights is customisable. Each light is a collaboration between our design team, our craftspeople, and you. It is one of the things that makes our process so special.

Home-grown craft

Every Sibling light is designed and manufactured right here in the UK. With workshops in Blackburn and Sheffield, our fittings are realised by a tight-knit team of skilled artisans, with unparalleled expertise in bespoke creations, glass techniques, metal fabrication and finishes.

Made to last

We rail against mass production, throwaway culture and passing trends. Instead, our focus is on enduring design, traditional craftsmanship and a bespoke service. Our lights are built to stand the test of time.

A family affair

As the name would suggest, Sibling is all about family and home. That includes extended family, long-term collaborators, and old friends. Our core team is made up of people who really care about their work, their homes, and each other, and we think it shows.

Lights that tread lightly on the planet

As a company, we recognise that it is important to do what we do as responsibly as possible. We aim to reduce our waste through creating made to order products, that are built to last, here within the UK. Wherever possible, our materials are sustainably sourced, and our packaging is recyclable. (See our sustainability page for more information).

 

Meet our founders

 

Simeon Thompson

Director of Sibling's sister company, interior design consultancy JSJ Design, Simeon has decades of experience working across hospitality, commercial and residential projects. For the vast majority of projects, Simeon designs bespoke lighting, and many of Sibling’s first editions have been based on his work in hotels. 

He and Jasmin are a real meeting of minds and have collaborated for years on various lighting and interiors projects.

Jasmin Robertson

Jasmin has a natural eye for design and in 2020 made the move from a 15 year career in PR and marketing to become an interior designer. 

With a passion for home renovation and documenting her home via Instagram, Jasmin believed the community of home decor enthusiasts she'd connected with would love to be able to access hotel-style lighting for their own homes. Here Sibling was born.
